Sam Schimmel - Stanford Graduate and Georgetown Student

While attending California’s Stanford University as an undergraduate, Sam Schimmel held leadership positions with several campus organizations including the Associated Students of Stanford University and the Board of Judicial Affairs. He also worked in his home state of Alaska as a youth advisory board member with the Cook Inlet Tribal Council. Sam Schimmel earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2022, and subsequently enrolled at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., to pursue a law degree.

He has continued his tradition of campus and community involvement at Georgetown, becoming active with the Native American Law Students Association as well as the RISE program, which benefits law students from historically underrepresented backgrounds. In Alaska, Mr. Schimmel serves as a co-chair of the Cook Inlet Tribal Fisheries Association and a member of the Kenaitze Indian Tribe Environmental Committee. He is currently on schedule to secure his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in the spring of 2025.
